Q+A Part I

Hey guys,

So I decided to split up the Q+A into two parts because there were way more questions that I'd expected! This part are the questions related to blogging and about my life. Part II are all the questions related to my style and skin care.

Q. Do you have any siblings?
A. 2 younger sisters, Solace is 16 and Riana is 14.

Q. How did you get your exposure through Instagram?
A. I already had a fair amount of followers, but when I started my blog I gained a lot more quite quickly.

Q. What made you get into blogging?
A. It was honestly just a random thought I had at the beginning of September last year. I thought that it could be a fun and interesting thing to start as it nothing like I've ever done before.

Q. What keeps you motivated to keep doing it?
A. Whenever I get bored I will start writing a post about something I think is interesting.

Q. Do you have any advice for people just starting out?
A. Don't blog about things you think other people want to see, blog about what you want people to see.

Q. Where do you see your blog in 3 years?
A. Hopefully I'll have a lot more followers and be able to get more people interested in it.

Q. Who are some of you favorite bloggers?
A. Sarah Ashcroft (That Pommie Girl) and Charlotte Groeneveld (The Fashion Guitar).

Q. Where do you see yourself in 3 years time?
A. Just finishing uni or doing my placement year.

Q. What are your goals for the future?
A. I would love to own my own business (I don't know what yet, but when I do I'll let you know).

Q. Which city would you love to live in?
A. New York or LA

Q. If you could travel to one place right now, where would you go?
A. Sydney, Australia

Q. What are your plans for the summer?
A. I am going to BST (the day JB is performing) and Wireless. Then I'm going on holiday with my best friend Holly. Watch lots of tv, relax, eat and then my annual family holiday.

Q. Who is you celebrity crush?
A. Justin Bieber and Zac Efron

I hope you enjoyed this, if you have any other questions you'd like me to answer feel free to email/DM me.

TEDDY BEAR CHIC

My love for this outfit is unreal. It's super simple, yet very stylish.

This skirt is amazing! It's a really good fitting skirt which can be worn at night and during the day. I wore this outfit out clubbing, but you could pair this skirt with a cropped hoodie and wear it during the day. Literally any colour would go well with this skirt as black goes with everything.

The black bandeau is just a black bandeau haha, but has a racer back (I'll add the link to where I bought it from so you can see what it looks like). I feel it gives the outfit another interesting aspect. Over it, I am wearing a mesh bodysuit.

This bomber. OMG, I am obsessed! As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to get it. It's unbelievably soft and comfy and warm and I just love it.

(I found it quite hard to picture this outfit front facing... sorry, I know I look a bit awkward...)

-----------------------------

A few days ago when I received my fur bomber, I wore it out for dinner. Then obviously took some photos and posted one Instagram. I then wake up to find that I'M ON THE MISSGUIDED WEBSITE! YAY!!!

Life Update

Hi everyone,

So I thought I'd just give you a little update on what's going on for me over the next few weeks and months.

I'm just about to break up from school for Easter holidays, yay! Well not so much... I basically have to revise for the next 3 and a half weeks (with breaks and days off, of course) but I have my A Levels in less than 10 weeks! It's actually quite scary...

On the fun side, it's my mums birthday on the 10th April. My sisters, dad and I have got her something and she'll be completely surprised! I will post pictures of it after we give it to her.

It's also one of my best friends 18th birthday soon, which I am so excited for, we're going out (obviously) haha.

Then in May it's my youngest sisters birthday, she's turning 15! (she's the one who takes all my pictures for Instagram).

Exams start on the 5th June and end on the 23rd June.
Prom is on the 4th July.
Then I'm going on holiday with my best friend HOLLY! It's going to be so much fun!

Well, that's about it for now.

Modern Renaissance Review

After finally getting my hands on the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette, I thought it was about time I do a review for you guys.

So, my sisters bought me the palette from Beauty Bay for my birthday. It was £41 and delivery was free. On the ABH website the palette is $42 (£34.35), however shipping to the UK is $17.95 (£14.68) which means its cheaper to buy it from Beauty Bay.

PACKAGING

I love the soft velvet feel of the cover of the palette and think it's super cute. A lot of people say that due to the material of the front of the palette, it gets dirty really quickly but I have had mine for over a month now and it is in the same condition as when I got it (although I am quite of a neat freak so everything always has to be clean). It's sturdy and a good size to be able to keep in your makeup bag, especially for travelling.

SHADES

By far, my favorite shade is Vemeer, an iridescent powder pink. I use this shade mainly to brighten up the inner corner of my eyes as it is so bright and also to highlight on my brow bone. Out of all the palettes I have, Vemeer is the best inner corner shade. It lasts the whole night and looks as good as it did when I first put it on to when I get home.

My favorite look that I've created using this palette are:

  • Venetian Red with Love Letter - all over the crease
  • Red Ochre - building up slowly in the outer corner of my eye to create a deeper tone
  • Burnt Orange - on my outer eye lid to the middle of the lid
  • Buon Fresco - from the inner corner of my eye to meet Burnt Orange
  • Vemeer- on the inner corner of my eye to brighten it up
  • (I use a Make Up Revolution Awesome Eye Foil in Rose Gold on the middle of my eye lid to add sparkle/glitter to the look. I love anything sparkly!)

OPINIONS

A little goes a long way! Personally, I find that it's important to always make sure there's never a lot of product on my brush before using this palette. This is because once on, the shadows aren't as easy to blend as some of the other palettes I have used (Chocolate Bar).

I haven't actually used the brush that Modern Renaissance comes with, but I have heard that it is actually quite good if you compare it with the low quality brushes some palettes come with.

The brushes I used with this palette are:
  • Luxe Soft Definer - Zoeva
  • 217 Blending Brush - MAC
  • 239 Eye Shader Brush - MAC
  • Bonus Sharpener - Real Techniques

OVERALL

This is now my go to palette for an everyday simple look and an all out night look. The shades are very pigmented which adds to the fact that it will last all day/night. Do you need it? No. Will you regret buying it? no way! I think for the price (£42) it is, it is totally worth the money! Considering you get 14 eye shadows and duel sided soft bristle brush.

I really hope this was helpful in helping you make your decision whether to buy this palette or not. If there are any other product reviews you would like me to do, please let me know.
